Ok a typical Tuesday night until some shocking sports news...Johnny Damon agrees to a preliminary a 4-year , $52 million deal to play for the New York Yankees. My beloved Red Sox team has now been completely overhauled. The only remaining members from last year's (besides some of the pitchers) are Jason Varitek, Trot Nixon, David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez (who's being shopped).We in Red Sox Nation knew something was brewing in the Yankees camp when they haven't made any huge acquisitions until tonight. Damon was a contributor for the Red Sox's historical come-back 2 years ago against the Yankees. He became a cult-figure in the New England region with his appearance and now he has 52 million reasons to turn his back on the Red Sox.

shit yo. i don't follow sports, especially baseball, but i had the oportunity to be in the presence of red sox nation during its climactic victory. and even i can't believe that johnny damon will be playing for the yankees. poor sox fans. sports fans in general. how can you deal when everything always becomes about the dollar signs??

Whatever, Damon can sellout. We all thought he bled red, white and blue. But I guess he bleeds green and pin stripes instead. Hope he enjoys his new 52 Million Dollar haircut. He just proved he isn't an idiot after all...
