R.I.P. Xbox 360


Last week I got the dreaded 'Red Ring of Death' with my Xbox 360. What this means is my 360 is about to kick the bucket because of an internal hardware failure...sigh.

I remember the days when paying $400 for a piece of equipment it was built to last. But apparently this isn't the case anymore.

I called up Xbox tech support and they had me run thru the cookie cutter list of troubleshooting tips and of course none of the tips worked. And to add insult to injury my system is already out of it's warranty period.

So I was told by the phone rep it's going to cost me $129 and 2 weeks of waiting for the system to be repaired and sent back to me. Thanks but no thanks I told them.

So what do I do now?
