My beloved, hometown Boston Celtics (yeah, I know they suck now) have found themselves in the middle of a 4-game winning streak. Most fans would be happy but in a lost season like this year; the wins does more harm than good. You see the team with the worst record in the NBA gets the highest percentage of getting the #1 pick in the NBA draft. And there are 2 college stud players (Greg Oden & Kevin Durant) that can possibly help turn this franchise around. I'm a believer in it takes losing for the team to have the chance to get better.
Stop the winning!
It's pathetic when the most exciting moment from this season as a Celtics fan was when Gerald Green won the 2007 Slam Dunk contest. That's sad. The C's we're shafted once from getting the #1 pick when they tanked a season *damn you Rick Pitino* but for some reason I'm 'cautiously optimistic' the C's have a chance at one of the 2 aforementioned players this year.
But I'm ready for anything since the NBA draft gods haven't been too kind for the past 20 seasons. With the exception of the past few years/Paul Pierce & Antoine Walker...the C's have drafted stiffs like Acie Earl, Kedrick Brown, Joe Forte, Eric Montross, Michael Smith etc....a perennial lists of NBA players who are probably playing in Europe or working in landscaping somewhere.
So this Wednesday, the C's play host to Houston.
With that said...let's go Rockets.
