*Newsflash* A watchable summer sequel!

Last night wifey and I went to see an advance screening of Ocean's 13 (yet another sequel). I'm a huge fan of Ocean's 11 and was really dissapointed with the pile of crap called Ocean's 12. I normally don't judge a sequel based on a prior film and based on the track record of summer movies we've seen so far (Spiderman & Shrek); we went in with the expectations of witnessing another bomb. But surprisingly, we we're both entertained.

This third film basically did what I wish they'd done in the second film; which is to keep them in Vegas and have the team pull off another impossible heist. But they had to stray away from this sucessful formula and have Ocean's 12 set in Europe. I'm glad they righted this franchise and got it back on track.

Finally the string of bad summer movies have ended for us. But of course a new streak can start up at anytime with the movies yet to be released. But until then, we're going to enjoy this one.
